This piece was one of 4 where I experimented with the value of the flesh. I thought what would it look like if I made the flesh the value (and mostly the color) of clouds?
Before that I'd done a series on having the figures in an atmospheric haze and one where I imagined a finished, realistic painting submerged in a muddy pond and values, details and edges would resolve into full clarity or be mostly or even completely lost in the random swirls of murkiness.

Our printing company is 100% carbon neutral and all our packaging is environment friendly. Everything is either recyclable or biodegradable and that includes the stickers, tape, compostable bubble wrap as well as the frame edge protectors used.
